Congratulations! Our paper entitled “An Enhanced Fault Detection Strategy Based on the Transient Voltage in Multi-terminal HVDC Grid” is selected as the "best paper" (Top 5% of over 1,200 paper submissions) by the 2024 IEEE PES General Meeting!
This paper introduces a novel fault detection and classification method using wavelet transformation to extract high-frequency DC voltage transients. It investigates the impact of various power system conditions on fault detection threshold selection and validates the method's efficiency through simulations on a four-terminal HVDC system using PSCAD/EMTDC and MATLAB. The results showcase the method's robustness and accuracy, contributing to the development of reliable and adaptive power system protection strategies.
